I'm a mature and experienced clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst who has been practicing psychotherapy for over forty years. I'm a dedicated and responsive professional, and insightful and empathetic listener. My training and clinical experience will help us to work together to understand and address your concerns and distress. I'm easy to talk with: respectful, attentive, and interpersonally engaged and receptive. While sensitive and compassionate, I'm also direct and down to earth. In my many years of working with people, I have experience with the full range of issues that bring people to psychotherapy. I'm very active in teaching, training and supervising the work of other psychotherapists and am on the faculty of several other training institutes in the New York City area. I've published in a number of professional journals, and have presented papers at national conferences. In addition to the positions that I hold at MIP, I've served as President of the New York State Psychological Association's Division of Psychoanalysis, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. I look forward to hearing from you!
