I graduated the MIP psychoanalytic training program in 2012 after completing my LCSW at Hunter College School of Social Work. I’ve been working in private practice since around 2010 and continue being enthralled by the discovery of fresh ways of working and learning more about our shared human condition and challenges. Psychoanalysis for me is a treatment modality that draws from a long history of philosophies focused on living meaningful lives through an ethic of respect for oneself and others, dignity, compassion and personal responsibility. I view the analytic relationship as one modeled on the mutuality and equality of friendship but with the goal of enhancing a clients self knowledge, self authorship and courage to live life as fully and authentically as possible.
