I began my career as a student at Smith College SSW in 1984 where my training was primarily psychodynamic and psychoanalytic and included full time internships at Bronx Children's Psychiatric Center and the Psychiatric Adult OPD of Montefiore Medical Center. I received my Certificate in Psychoanalysis from Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2001 and was in supervision with Adrienne Harris, PhD for 22 years as well as couples therapy group supervision with Virginia Goldner PhD; Sheldon Itzkowitz, PhD and Irwin Hirsch, PhD. I have also trained in EMDR for the treatment of trauma and IPT for the treatment of Depression at the University of Pittsburgh.
